Hello to all
I had already made a post about this,
what simple software to convert midifile to partition
it's true that it's a little bit stain to ask 2 times the same question? I had read your answers, I'm apple
I'm the one who's been elected the ball of the day, as we say in our house.

Thank you for your advice.

hello slc-63

by going on the tab ''My profile'' you have access to the various subjects which you created and to the ''messages of the discussions'' in which you took part ....
it is thus easy to find the subject!

In your case the problem is that the person who answered your subject is not there anymore and asked for the withdrawal of all his posts so there is still your question but not the answer !!!!!!

Hoping that someone will answer again ....

Good music!

Hello again slc

Well, let's go back to the subject you're interested in: of course, many programs do this...
What is important is that the software analyzes the Midi file when reading it to determine (by calculation) the name of the chords it contains.
The results obtained by the different software programs give a ranking from the best to the worst ... or even very bad in the analysis of the agreements.
But when it comes to the representation of the melodic line ... the classification is different.
For example MIDIILLUSTRATOR Italian software ...is average in chord analysis ...but not too bad in melody display. It has become a bit of a gas factory with each update ...but hey ...
Musician Notation http://www.notation.com/Download.php is super good in the display of the melodic line .... because it does not make quantization ...what it displays ..it is really what the musician in live played .... which comes back to say that it is also an exploit to be able to play what is displayed on the screen ....on the other hand for the name of the chords ...it is not always good ...we have the impression that this software must ...and makes an obligation of it ...to display chords in each measure ...that ends up not to complex these last ones and complicates excessively the partition ...

Band in a Box is good at everything ...the chords found are good ...never too complicated ...and it systematically does quantization which makes reading the melody very easy .
Band in a Box is my favorite .....but Musician Notation ...is often a good help on some Midi or Kar badly designed at the beginning ...

Finally, the best is to try and compare at the beginning with simple musics even if you already have the score ... It's up to you to find and make your choice among the many software on the market (free or paid).
