Hello to all. I would like to know if you are interested in the violin parts for small groups and orchestras, because it is true that I play this instrument. If yes I will not omit any more its parts; and finally for the tangos that you have downloaded concerning me, I will send you those by e-mail or will deposit them here; if that does not pose problem with Cindou; which you know it, has enormous work when to repertorier all and to correct the errors of the depositaries. This is just for your information. All my musical friendships. Marceau

Hello everyone,

I've been asking myself a question for a long time now, and while browsing through a bunch of scores, I'm no further ahead.

I am having fun making a lot of notes by copying old scores and making medleys.

My question: for the TANGOS, writing in 2/4 or C which is certainly easier because less single or double triplets.

Your opinion would interest me and thank you for your answers.

Hello,
The 2/4 measure contains 1 upbeat and 1 downbeat, while the 4/4 measure contains 1 upbeat and 3 downbeats. It is no longer a question of ease of reading or writing, but a question of interpretation.

Sincerely

Hello levinceret,

Thank you for your answer; I also had other information, identical or similar; and I consulted a lot of information on Internet... and there...
in short, 2/4, 4/4, 4/8 ... it's always a tango, with maybe a difference between simple tango, hananera, milonga ...

The right hand makes the difference but the left hand always plays the same. And to dance it too, except the Argentine tangos.

Finally, there is the problem of the ease of writing and especially of readability; 4/4 remains more "airy" in reading.

Well, the debate is closed.

And the same problem for the pasos-dobles, in 2/4 and 4/4; better El Relicario and Sombreros and Mantilles are in 3/4!
