Hello. I just registered on your site, for the 5 free days. This site is extremely slow, more than 30 seconds between each page and some requests do not succeed. Hello brigitte21 and skyraider, the slowness that you undergo on the site is due to a technical problem and is not at all the "norm" of the site. Skyraider, the new site is faster than the old one on all the tests made and keeps all the features present on the old one, we just added some (library, events...) and we made it adaptable to mobiles and tablets. It takes some time to get used to it, but the habits come back quickly. We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused by this technical problem, we will come back to you as soon as we have fixed it!

I expose my point of view:
- I believe as Slade said (and often Jmimi), that the
site is not always clear for the "new" registered ....
this is the reason why we are currently working together to make it easier to understand from the start ... and this, in the new version in preparation ...
- First of all, we need a "RULES" visible from the beginning, explicit, a good support for a "good entry" on P. A ... even if it is automatically received at each registration OR re-registration ....
I am very far from blaming anyone, I the first one was not always at the Top from my arrival ... even if, from the beginning I tried to understand not to be too noticed ... (ok, it's a waste of time, to say that I asked Slade to be incognito as an administrator ....., not possible ... and even, I wanted to file incognito ... not possible too, so I might as well go for it!!!)
Of course, the goal of this site is sharing ... when I say sharing, we can also hear GIVING, INDIVIDUAL SHARING (yeah it's weird ....!! but true), in a word DO NOT EXPECT A RETURN ... Like any donation, it's logical !!!

Hello Cindou. It is without moderation that I agree with your point of view. I am one of those with 10000 scores per hour, but that was at the beginning, I wanted to share everything with those who have trouble finding their happiness, because the old editions have disappeared, or no longer have any heirs, or at least interested. I always watch the depositions to see if I like this one. What a surprise !!!! I had when I saw downloads on invisible or unreadable deposits. At the beginning I was skating in the sand, and you helped me, however when I deposited, too quickly it is true! I was wrong title or score, and this one was still downloaded. What's the point??? that's why I adopt your point of view. This week I am waiting for a small return, which will be put on p.a, in drops, and as right to consume with moderation.

If at the beginning of the year I didn't answer your post it's only because I was and still am 100% of your opinion in everything you write.
When I read Harmojack's answer of February 24, I see to this day that his sentences were well turned and that he would respect the
" Rules" of P-A.
But this is not the case at all, he is posting what he has in score and soon no member will have the pleasure to post theirs.
It is a pity and a pity at the same time to arrive at this stage of conviviality.
We are not all on this nice site to compete in the number of deposits.
This is my humble opinion.

Here I am now accused by Mr. Harmojack of depositing scores which are I admit for some to this day in free download on the sites of certain accordionists, but by which they were offered to me by them even according to my request.
What was not current on the Net when I received the scores by postal mail by sympathy of these musicians or orchestras.
I have to specify that I view in no case the sites of these musicians for illicit downloads whatever they are.
The human contact is the best way to bond a comradeship, to talk on the phone and to ask for what it would be nice to receive from the Pro's of the scene.
Also I "openly" said some time ago that I have about 20,000 scores in my possession, in reality, on my hard drives and not counting the P-A repositories I have about 33,700.
And for the good form, I would like that Mr. Jack, who likes by his musical knowledge... does not make fun of some and others as a certain Mr. Frerik did in his time.
If such a zizanie (in see you in here) persists on the site, my favorite site which is not other than P-A I will not hesitate to unsubscribe Illico-presto

I have heard that a certain person who I will not name, has circulated an email to invite members to leave the site.
I find this extremely sad and I can't understand what the purpose of wanting to harm a site that we have praised and in which we have invested a lot.
Is it a desire to regain leadership?
Is it jealousy, frustration?
Is it to harm P-A or me?
I don't know but I find it regrettable. It also seems that some people see me as a profiteer who tries to take advantage of the community for my own personal gain.
I want to clarify several things about my background.
I have a masters degree in computer science, I recently made a dangerous choice in my personal life by leaving a job as a computer developer in a big company with a big salary to be able to devote myself to P-A and make it live the best I can.
It's been more than 3 years now that I'm taking care of this site and the 3 versions that have been made, that I answer your mails, requests, discussions, that I take care of the development and that I try to make sure that everything is going well.
In my field I would have dozens of better ways to make money than accordion scores, please believe me... Making websites is my job and I could exploit many threads if my goal was as some believe to get rich...
Instead I dedicate myself to the growing P-A community with the aim not to earn millions - which would not happen anyway - but to continue to make the site evolve, to make it a reference in the field of accordion and an unavoidable site in the field of music.
The contribution once again is only to allow me to offer to P-A the structure adapted in it has need and for me to be able to eat and to take care of P-A.
The contribution is fixed at 15 euros because it is a test, because I have no idea if it will even be enough, if it turns out to be too much I can assure you with great pleasure that it will be lowered or even removed if the publicity becomes at some point sufficient.
I don't understand how you can think that, I sincerely thought I had your trust and respect and I realize that some people don't hesitate to change their mind as well as their shirt on the goodness of the site and my intentions. For what purpose I don't know...
If there is anything I can do to make these people listen to reason, I would be happy to show them that one does not go from passionate volunteer to capitalist profiteer in 24 hours.
To come back to the email that invites to deregistration, I think it's a sad attitude and very little respectful of the community, of P-A and of myself. And I invite these people to ask themselves what could justify so much hate towards the site? This site that they were praising yesterday and that today they are trying to destroy.
I think that the people who will recognize themselves in this message - I do not speak about all the radiations, some of them can be well founded - have anyway nothing to do here.
And I will be glad to show them the way out, I don't want to stroke people, I have been repeating myself many times and trying to explain the why and wherefore of this, with backlash that is on the one hand, premeditated and gratuitously nasty.

I made the proposal to karandre to write courses in exchange of a premium status - the only fair way to compensate him for his investment without creating jealousy - which he refused and I offer this possibility to whoever is interested, in order to make up for people who don't want to pay but still want to invest in the community.

P-A is going through a stormy patch, and that's normal, a drastic change in operation can only bring about a drastic change in the community.
The site will remain the same, as long as it will be good to live between you, as long as the exchanges will continue (and it is the case), as long as you will continue to feed the forum, to maintain you between you, and to bring your knowledge to the others. The spirit of P-A will remain the same, and it will be enriched by the new sections which are coming and which are also one of the reasons of the contribution considering the work which they represent (I think in particular of the music section).
The storm will pass and I notice that the noise always comes as usual from a minority that wants to be heard. I have nothing against that, P-A is a free speech area, I do not censor any message even those that give links to download for free because I do not want to pose as a censor of all that.
I just think that before spoiling the website, the best would be to be honest with everyone, to expose his goal, his motivations and the why of the thing.

This is only my opinion, but I find this move very regrettable.
I could not connect to the site for a month (the wifi connection was very bad) I learned the departure of Karandré, it's true that nobody is indispensable, but his departure puts PA.com in mourning. It was the most active and most responsive member of the site, his advice and tips were very valuable and he was always ready to help us. Although we can find him on other sites, he will be sorely missed at PA.com but his decision is his own.

I have been registered for some time on PA and I notice that there is a lot of commotion lately and I realize that all this commotion is about the membership fee.
I was about to pay this 15 € which as it is written on the site by Slade is only 1.25 € per month, or a few coffees as others have rightly said.
In the meantime, I realize the great defection of many members, some of whom ensured the success of this site.
As a result, I have a completely different view of this membership fee.
We are justified these 15 € by the costs of hosting and maintenance of the site.
A pro hosting at Ovh with 100 GB of disk space and unlimited traffic costs only 6 € per month. This represents an annual cost of 72 € TTC.
I wonder about the additional costs that would justify an annual fee of 15 € per member.
Because if half of the members pay the 15 € it will make 60000 € of budget what allows to make gold-plated posts.
If only 10% of the members pay their membership fee, this will still cover the costs.
But, only 10% of the members contribute, certainly the cost of the site will be absorbed but it is not a few dozen members that will give the interest of a site with 8000 members.
I'm sorry to throw the pavement in the pond, and I know that I will attract the wrath of some people, but don't you think that this site is self-sabotaging?

The fact is that he is the only one to manage the whole site at the functional level... it's a huge job with 8 000 subscribers ! and he will have to work a lot to take care of everything correctly !
I know a lot of websites and most of them work with a staff that grows with the number of members: a team composed of graphic designers, ''programmers'' often young students in computer science, moderators who check the different subjects and reframe them in the right places (I even had a 13 year old who did that very well), a member or 2 creators who oversee the whole thing, animators ... etc.
It is the work of a team, each one at his level, which makes that all occurs well (there are nevertheless times or that it messes up...) but the team recovers quickly on feet... in addition to that it supports itself!
This also relieves everyone of other tedious tasks: you have to know how to manage yourself by defining the roles of each person in charge! It's like at work after all!
