La Séquence du spectateur was a French television program on film news, created by Claude Mionnet and broadcast every Sunday on RTF Télévision, the first channel of the ORTF, then on TF1 from October 20, 1953 until February 11, 1989. The program's original theme tune in 1953 was La ronde, a score by Oscar Straus for Max Ophuls' 1950 film of the same name. This theme tune was later replaced by the cha-cha-cha On the Desert Road, composed by Charles Telmage in 1953 and performed by Juan Montego & The Kingston Orchestra.
