Here's a video to get your week off to a good start.

Street accordionist Lorenzo from Romania performs live musical improvisation with fragments of Monti Chardash and Libertango/Astor Piazzolla in the street near Notre-Dame de Paris, France.

In this video, this Youtuber compares the difference in sound between 5 accordions, from the cheapest to the most expensive.

50 - Bayan "Tembr" (00:00)
700$ - "Roal Standart" button accordion (00:47)
2700$ - "Pigini" button accordion (01:33)
4000$ - "Ukraine" button accordion (similar to "Jupiter") (02:26)
7000$ - Roland FR-8XB digital accordion (03:37)

Can you hear the difference? Which one is your favorite?

I like the Pigini... the Roland's bass is a little weak.

Good day to you,

thank you for this video, although I find that the accordion doesn`t lend itself to playing Vivaldi. A composer of genius whom I particularly appreciate, the Four Seasons can only be performed on the violin.
Personal opinion, of course, but the finesse of the sound of this instrument (of the devil, as they say) lets you imagine the cold wind, the twirling snow etc...

A brief comparison with two performers, Sarah Chang and Nigel Kennedy.

Sincerely

pontiac

Roland FR3 sb since 6 years . Works very well except I had a problem with the power supply plug of the tansfo (broken) of the instrument. The connection is badly placed (input face down) when you play sitting: you pull on the wire despite the stop placed above. All the plugs are placed as I helped you on the bottom so made to play standing. That was repaired and since it is good. For your information, in spite of the broken plug, I was playing with good and adequate batteries (10 for 2 hours). This accordion is equipped with 10 batteries and a power supply. To conclude I had several brands of accordion MAUGEIN , PIERFI , FRATELLI CROSIO chromatic accordions and to finish I have only my ROLAND FR3sb . Good reading

the only problem with Roland is their ergonomics and the right hand keyboards are too hard!!! personally I could never play correctly with Roland for me and for 60 years !!!!!! the rolls of the accordion is Cavagnolo!

indeed the right keyboard is harder, you are right. I am more comfortable on a classical chromatic accordion. I had a small FRATELLI CROSIO and I played better. I miss playing on a chromatic. Finally I will see

Currently I have a goldencup piano but my biggest desire would be a hohner musette Atlantic 4 or a hohner morino

Crucianelli and Piermaria / Nice musette sound / The crucianelli in 80 basses for the ball, and the Piermaria in 120 basses (it was for the contests) ...

Thanks for your answers. From what I've read here, and elsewhere, the most popular and played brands (top 10) are;

Hohner, Roland, Weltmeister, Crucianelli, Cavagnolo, Scandalli, Piermaria, Sonola, Titano and Fratelli Crosio.

I know it depends a lot on personal preferences, but would you agree with that?
