(Félicien Brut studied for many years at the CNIMA. He is ONE OF THE GREATEST NAMES OF TODAY'S ACCORDÉON, audaciously blending the classical he loves with the popular music he is steeped in. )
Contents: Instrumental work following the Jacques Mornet method. Approach the accordion as a wind instrument. Management of the air column and bellows. Balance between body and instrument. Work on touch and articulations. Quest for musicality. Work on 1 or 2 pieces of your choice (variety, classical, musette, jazz, balkan, etc.). Progress at accelerated speed.
Trainers : Jacques Mornet is a world-renowned accordion teacher, holder of the Gus Viseur prize and the silver disc from the Russian Gnessin Academy, and founder of the CNIMA. Nathalie Boucheix is a virtuoso accordionist, winner of major international competitions, and co-founder of Cnima, of which she is director. Their team is made up of teachers of great artistic and pedagogical skills.

Hommage à Claude Thomain" accordion orchestra workshop with Aline Lacourt

Content: Development of a concert program based on the works of Claude Thomain, a French composer, conductor and accordionist renowned for his rich, accessible works "Notes Vagabondes", "À Joss", "Deux Phares dans la Nuit" ... In-depth work on orchestral playing under the direction of a conductor. Claude Thomain, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 76, was a great friend of CNIMA, where he led numerous courses.
Trainer: Aline Lacour is an accordionist, conductor and music education teacher. Trained on piano and accordion since childhood, she studied with Claude Thomain and perfected her skills at the CNIMA, where she competed in major international accordion competitions. Holder of a DEM in accordion and the CAPES, she combines artistic practice, teaching and conducting with high standards and sensitivity.
Audience: accordion players with good reading skills
Prerequisites: - Each trainee will have to produce and transmit a video of a piece performed, so that the conductor can, in advance of the course, allocate voices and musical parts according to each person's abilities." - Have studied and prepared the musical parts transmitted by the conductor before the start of the course.

Thanks to an official partnership agreement between our school and the CRD Conservatoire de Gennevilliers, we offer intensive preparation for conservatory diplomas approved by the French Ministry of Culture. On average, one year at CNIMA is equivalent to 4 years of normal curriculum.

The IOMA certification (Interpréter une œuvre de Musiques Actuelles) is registered with the Répertoire Spécifique (RS). It attests to the technical and artistic skills essential for working in the contemporary music industry, and enables musicians to acquire professional know-how while increasing their adaptability to various activities in the musical field. This certification is issued by the FNEIJMA (Fédération Nationale des Écoles d'influence Jazz et Musiques Actuelles), with which CNIMA has established a partnership.
Training content Instrumental technique, instrumental and vocal sight-reading, solfeggio, repetition, harmony, accompaniment, improvisation, musical culture, repertoire, computer-assisted music, concerts, legal and social environment, hearing and physical prevention.
Trainee profile: Musicians in the process of professionalization, wishing to obtain professional certification.
Prerequisites: Entrance exam on Monday, June 23, 2025 Trainees with BEM (Brevet d'Etudes Musicale) conservatory diploma: automatic admission. Trainees without diploma: entrance exam based on instrumental and solfeggio assessment. If unsuccessful, trainees may take one or two years of "la préparatoire" (see information below).
Trainer: A lyricist since 1997, Frédéric Kocourek has written for some 30 French-language chanson artists, including Isabelle Boulay, Natasha St Pier, Angélique Kidjo, Rock Voisine, Sarah Brightman, Daguerre, Yannick Noah, Louis Bertignac... A fine pedagogue, he was, among other things, a trainer for several years at Francis Cabrel's Rencontres d'Astaffort. He is deeply involved in professional training with Sacem, Afdas and the Union National des Auteurs et Compositeurs.
Content: Perfecting your skills as a songwriter. Work on inspiration, structure, style, metrics, rhymes, narrative... The lyricist's constraints: a source of stumbling blocks or a driving force for creation?

If you are not eligible for Afdas and have no other aid (CPF, FIF-PL etc ...) there is a grant from SACEM, which will cover the teaching costs of the course.
