Hello everyone,
I am in the process of finding out how to insure an accordion, I am not a professional, but I play for associations and in this context, I travel by car or bus. I don't ask for any remuneration, it's the organizations that pay Sacem.
Have any of you insured your accordion? It's going to be brand new, and a bit expensive...and the car insurance doesn't cover that amount.
Thanks in advance,
good sunday

Hello,
Personally, I have insured my instrument (transport, domestic accident, etc...), I checked this directly with my insurance company (included in the home insurance). It's better to check with them directly (not very expensive but very reassuring).

Hello everyone. I had looked into it, but you have to know that the insurance deducts the obsolescence, and does not reimburse the replacement value.
But maybe it has changed since I had the information, and that some insurances insure. !
Good day, best regards.

Hello, you'll need an objects/cargo extension or a separate, specific policy. But, most of the time, deductibles, obsolescence and exclusions apply, especially if the vehicle is left unattended during certain hours of the night, etc... for theft. But, indeed, in the event of an accident alone or at fault, it may be worth the cost...?

Good evening everyone, I've picked up the animal...it's arrived safely in the house, no worries...I'm going to check with the insurance company about the bus transport with the association, which is supposed to check with the transporter...I've been walking for 40 years, and I must admit this is the first time I've asked myself the question...

Good evening, I've been walking without insurance for almost 50 years, and this is the first time I've asked myself the question. A priori, in the bus, the association will check with the transporter... The beast is at home, there, it's insured! Thanks for the feedback, it may be worth it for the first two years, but it's not cheap...

bsr if you are not professional it seems difficult and if an insurance accepts it will be a pittance far from the value of an accordion good music
