Good evening
Personally, I use a lot of mp3 playback accompaniments, unfortunately there are few good and free ones
In my opinion however the best (to my taste) and not expensive, are those made by ERIC BOUVELLE, (collections the classics of the musette, my ideal ball etc...) Each album is sold at a very very reasonable price and if you do not want all the titles you can buy (in download) only the titles which interest you also I put you the link of the editions Pluriel, you will not have any more but to follow the instructions to buy and download
WWW.PLURIEL.COM

Go also to the site of Jérôme RICHARD, or also Jérôme ROBERT, there are all the playbacks of their creations and it is free if you create an account.

I wish you a lot of pleasure

Hello,

I would like to have this score: Always Sunday and Zorba the Greek, I don't know who the artist is.
It is not the same music as "Zorba".

Thanks in advance

Hello,
there are 2 different pieces
at the beginning :
the children of piraeus by Manos Hadjidakis
then :
but if it is indeed the dance of Zorba the Greek by Mikis Theodorakis
and the two pieces are in the common pot
good luck
JJ
hello accordeon 49

direct your research on the title :
The children of Piraeus

It is present on the site ....
Nana Mouskouri, Dalida and others have interpreted the song ...

I do not deposit, but if you want, I have an original of the partition which I can scan and which will resemble that deposited!

Good music

jmimi

Sorry JJ, I was editing my email and so it's a double answer !

Hello,

I am launching this discussion to know what you think or to share your experience and your feeling on the multiple learning methods that exist.

Depending on your learning age, with or without a teacher.

So as I start the discussion, I begin:

Well I started with the Maugain method volume 1 and a teacher at the conservatory and yes! at 40 years old ....

I had the impression to row at the beginning, not to advance, and I found the method with these drawings of child enough....what to say.... the pieces to work were rhymes then small crocodiles etc.... it was not terrible.
And then, with time, well yes! it was a good method, finally I learned a lot, because since 3 years, no more teachers nor methods and it is a little the galère.
I'm going back to school next week, and my teacher advised me to use the Galliano method, father and son, I'll tell you more later when I've tested it.

Now it's your turn! lol

Hello, I am new on the site and new in learning the chromatic accordion. What is less new is me since I have 60 years of life learning, and I haven't understood everything yet.it will be 3 years that I'm stammering on my keyboard by taking lessons with a teacher. So reading notes of the 2 keys, solving some scores, typing rhythms, both hands to work on the independence of the 2 hands, study with 3 methods: - method for keyboard button and piano by André Astier and Joss Baselli - method of chromatic accordion 1st year by Médard Ferrero - method of Lucien and Richard Galliano. my teacher loves this method, but it moves a little fast, which forces to do more of the other methods. I am currently stuck on a mazurka. Pfffff!!!!!!!This site seems to me very nice, congratulations to those who make it live, and if my faith I can bring something and well I will do it.Ah well, and if I put the Galliano method it could interest someone? If yes I will try to do it, but what a work for a retired. lol See you soon

Hello Babilone,

Nice to meet you and thanks for sharing.

I went to my second class tonight with a new teacher, he gave me my methods, galliano, the practical manual for the study of the keys and another book called "Solfège populaire" based on rhythm.
I start again from the beginning, a real reset to start again to zero.

Y'a plus qu'a as they say...

Good evening to all and good weekend

Thanks cindou, your 2nd link is great, level 1.5 is the difficulty level I am working in today. So I keep it preciously. However, it did answer my question in a timely manner, but where did you get this link from? Apparently these are your scores. You are Bill's daughter (Gate) or what? Thanks for the answer and the quick response. Can't wait for level 2 :=))

Hello,

I admit that I have trouble finding new threads, replies or messages of the day when I open P.A.

I click on the history, but to find the subject in the forum or in my profile, it's a bit difficult.
It would be nice to be able to click on the topic in the history and go directly to the discussion, is this possible?

Then, I find that it would be better to have the last answers
in the top of the page rather than being obliged to browse the whole length of the page before arriving to see if we have an answer to our last post.

Good day to all.

Hi accordon49,
yes, for the notifications it's something I was thinking about.
Regarding the forum, the topics that have replies have a different color (dark brown) so you can easily distinguish them.
The topics that have replies are also at the top of the list just after the important topics!

Did you find the method?

Have a nice day
Good evening

It seems to me that, if he has found it, he should perhaps give him the time to scan it...
Personally, I find the time quite long, when it is necessary to scan a whole book to have a correct result!

Good music in the meantime!

Hello, I've been playing for 4 years now, and I still can't manage to play fast, fast, to make the sixteenth notes etc. ....

How to proceed to play notes in cascade?

Is there a learning method?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

hi
and I think it's actually 20 times
This quote from the French poet, writer and critic Nicolas Boileau means that it is in the things that we have worked and reworked tirelessly that we can shine and excel.
a bit like running, at the beginning we run slowly and over small distances, and with training we lengthen the distances and the pace.
speed, in the practice of an instrument, comes with work, provided, of course, that you have done some preliminary "ergonomic" work on the position of the body, the hands, breathing, and yes, the study of fingerings (having fingers that cross each other never speeds up the movement) and in this area the advice of a teacher can be essential.
a serious study of the fingerings, calmly, at a slow speed, will be a basis of work, it will be enough to accelerate progressively, at one's own rhythm, to obtain the desired tempo.
good luck

Hello,I am also in my 4th year, and I am starting to play faster and faster...It's all about fingering, and I spend a lot of time finding a fingering that fits me and that will allow me to speed up.That said, after that, it's all a question of time and patience, and I know that I also need to work on the scales! Which I don't necessarily do! So I resign myself, better to play correctly slowly than to swallow half of the notes at high speed...Well, that's my opinion! Patience and obstinacy will undoubtedly give a result one day, I hope!

Hello Accordeon49,

Everything is said, only work pays.
Have a good method, do regular exercises, the fingering is indicated; work slowly at first and as you go along you will go faster; work 10 times each triplet and you will see.

And why not take a few lessons to improve your technique, it's the most beneficial.

Good luck and you will tell us if you progress.

HelloI think all the advice is given to youwork slowly (which in general we tend to forget to do), as soon as you have difficulties on a passage, take it again several times slowly.Work and patience always pays.

Thank you very much for these advices, indeed I have to work on my scales, would there be these scales or triplets on scores on the site?

As for the advanced lessons, I am actively looking for a teacher, but in the region, apparently, it is not so easy to find.

30 mns of lessons and I have to drive at least 1 hour there and back and I have to find the right time slot, so working at home on pre-established exercises would suit me better.
In the meantime, I thank you.

Hello accordion49,

there is only one thing to play well first and quickly afterwards, it is the work and the time spent, x times the score the rest will be done with time.

44 years of accordion so you have time.

Hello Accordeon49,

A good method to make you work well (these 4 methods are the most used by the teachers).

Method of CHROMATIC ACCORDEON

Editions HOHNER

by Médard FERRERO

22nd edition revised and expanded

YELLOW color

This method should suit you

Don't take the BLUE (1st year), the PURPLE (superior), the ORANGE (virtuosity). That will be for later ....

Good luck and good music.

Hello Accordéon 49,

You have found a teacher, that's great. You tell us "that does not prevent me from following the methods that you advise me" it is also good but do it in consultation with your teacher, that will perhaps avoid you to "burn" stages which can be harmful thereafter.
And don't try to "play fast", start by "playing well" then Start by "playing well", then you will enjoy yourself with virtuoso pieces.
But to attack the repertoire of Marcel Azzola or Yvette Horner, either you have to be very patient or you have to get extra fingers...
Good luck for the rest.
Amicably

Good evening.
Thanks Dany14, that's the solution!!!!! To have extra fingers transplanted.
To become serious again, and I can do it, there is no secret. The more you practice your instrument, the faster you can play. Even if one day you become a virtuoso without realizing it.
I don't know how old you are, accordion 49, but above all, if you can, never stop.
When I was 15, I played "la migliavacca", "tonnerre de musette" with triplets and many others. I stopped for 35 years and today, at 60 years old, I try miserably to pass some measures. On the other hand, I notice at each session a small improvement and I even manage today to play "the return of the swallows".
Moral, play a lot, as much as possible!!!!
Kind regards.
Dan

For the record, I'm 44 years old, yes I understand, I have to play more and more but not in any way!

I've taken up the ferrero method which I never opened by the way! I'm going to review it from the beginning and measure it! boudiou, we're going to get there!

I think the Ferrero method plus a teacher and off you go!!!
You will succeed since you seem passionate about it.
Good job.

Hello,

I will say even more: play fast and WELL.for that there is an essential tool which is the metronome.for a difficult passage without metronome one tends to slow down a little without realizing it whereas the metronome .....
Another thing, more boring, is the solfeggio but it is an obligatory passage to sight-read.
Since I'm retired I've taken up the Ferrero virtuosity method again and I bought an electronic metronome, the old mechanical one being wobbly.
So at least one hour of method per day before attacking the pieces that we like.
As an option, solving a page of exercises helps to work on sight-reading.

Good luck.

Hello accordion49,
I see that there has been a lot of advice and encouragement!
And we realize that the relevant advice comes back again and again!
Play slowly, play a piece slower than what is written but play it well.
The most difficult thing to control is the regularity of the notes, it is not very obvious that one is playing irregularly.
I learned a lot from my teacher Tony Fallone (deceased) who accompanied me on guitar or drums to keep the measure but I still have a little trouble!
The Ferrero method is one of the best that exists (Tony Fallone made me work with this method). I had a version with the old fingering!
I had a version with the old fingering, I have retyped the new fingering (1,2,3,4,5 instead of P,1,2,3,4) with a red pen! same for the left hand.
Good luck
