Yes it seems to be inspired by the music of this score in C Minor in the triplet part already existing here. Moreover it plays on the 4th row. The chords are slightly different. To be investigated! Thanks for the feedback. Christian

I fixed the links of youtube videos, it's the part "&ab_channel= Gastonsolex" and in general the parameter ab_channel which breaks the player.

Hello,

The score in Russian is called "в землянке" which means "In the dugout" Music : Words by Alexey Surkov
Music by Konstantin Listov Date of 1942
It is one of the most famous lyrical songs of the Great Patriotic War.

Original:

The fire beats in a small stove,
On the logs, there is tar like a tear.
And the accordion sings to me in the dugout
About your smile and your eyes.

The bushes whispered to me about you
In the snow-white fields near Moscow.
I want you to hear
How my voice wants to live.

You are far, far away now
There is snow and snow between us.
It's not easy for me to reach you
And to death - four steps.

Sing, harmonica, despite the blizzard,
Call the lost happiness.
I am warm in a cold dugout
Of my unquenchable love.

Thank you Christian,

It was easy because I speak Russian from my grandparents who were originally from this country. I knew this music that I often heard in my childhood.

I am glad I could help you,

Hello Pontiac,
After some feedback from my side on the song you identified. it seems that the title would be: In the buried shelter-cabin (But it is not a dugout, It is a small hut under the ground in which the soldiers hid. Its called 'V zemlyanke'.
Zemlyanka is an underground house, you need to dig it in the ground. Partisans at war made them to hide in the forests. It's a war song about love
https://www.marxists.org/history/ussr/sounds/lyrics/v-zemlianke.htm

By the way "zemlia" would mean the land (the country) Good, weekend. Cdlt Christian

That would be "In the underground shelter".

Hello jean64bill,

We agree except that the word "pirogue" is not a canoe, it is a popular form rather than a literary one, in France we say a car but also a car, for example, and in 1942 it could still be different.
For the history it is a poem, it was the lines of a letter from the correspondent of the newspaper Krasnoarmeyskaya Pravda Alexei Surkov to his wife Sofya Antonovna. As he himself later said, the letter was written in late November 1941 after a hard day at the front near the town of Istra.

Happy holidays to you and your loved ones.

Thank you Pontiac for these details and links that fascinated me about Russian history and poetic culture. Yes, the Russian language to translate is full of contextual subtleties (like German with grammatical declensions). Nice evening to you and your family. Sincerely Christian

The pleasure is shared Christian,

translating a language is always a difficult exercise, especially with poetic, philosophical texts, etc.. It can only be done when one has a perfect command of the spoken and written word and can think in the latter.

It is always a pleasure to share with someone who shares this feeling. Digital translators will never replace the human being, but it helps sometimes.
Being multilingual with three alphabets Latin, Cyrillic and Greek translations can be misinterpreted.

Sincerely
