hello,

I started accordion 2 years ago with a teacher and a lot of personal work.
I started with the basics and mainly on the C major scale

The teacher pushed me to study the vast majority of scales, arpeggios and chords in major, minor and 2 hands.

What's more, in the minor mode, I need to know the Natural, Harmonic and Melodic scales. The aim is to master by heart all the scales, arpeggios and chords.

But also, with both hands in sync, as well as descending with the left hand and ascending with the right, and vice versa.

I understand this technical work, but I don't feel that this enormous amount of work is necessary for playing the instrument better. But I suppose my judgement is wrong.

If someone of good will could tell me 2 words about it and enlighten me It would be nice !!!!

Amicalement

Good evening, yes it's very good, but not motivating! I gave lessons to an 11 year old who had never touched an accordion, with the chromatic accordion method 1st year by Médard Ferrero and the scores. After a year, he was playing 10 scores! cordially

Hello Do you want to become a concert performer? Follow the advice of your teacher, who may only see in you a wallet on legs or may have detected in you a future Verchuren. Otherwise, just enjoy playing the scores on PA and you'll quickly find your level.
I'm Belgian and I'm taking up my instrument again after a little break of 60 years.....
I forgot which finger to use to go up and down a C major scale.
The C on my instrument is on the 3rd row.
Who can help me?
I do have Charles Demaele's scale summary chart but I'm having a bit of trouble with the numbers (up or down) ???? finger 5 ????
Thanks to all

Hello, the C in the 3rd row means that you have the so-called Russian system. Buttons are positioned differently than on a French system.

Thank you, I'm at crt. In Belgium we play C 1,2 or 3 depending on the region and always with Belgian basses (inverted) going up F going down G, etc.
Hello, maybe already posted! I would like to know the Belgian fingerings of the scales, without the thumb if possible.

Hello,

I am looking for two booklets that were given to start 40 years ago in Hainaut, the region of Charleroi and the center.

One was a method, I think pink or gray I think it was called the ABC of the accordion. The format was an A4 folded in half and the last page was a drawing of the buttons of the right and left hand.

The other one was a collection of all the scales for C 2 chromatic accordion. The format was quite large, I think an A3 in green color.

Maybe you have this in your archives?

Thanks in advance,

Hello to all of you. You know me, collector in the soul I have miles and hundreds in scores. So I have a lot to please and communicate, because I am an old boy. My deposits are for the most part of order to have already quite a lot of practice. I am assé pained, because those which begin, to see intermediate, are prejudiced. That's why I propose you 2 deposits, 1 for those said on chevroné, and 1 for the other quatégorie. It goes without saying that I select those; and notament the left hand, black beast of our friends, and others. Because they are, confined in waltzes and javas (key of F, being in their reach), without being able varied, on various repertories. I invite them to look well on its partitions the left hand, (those chosen) will be your pass everywhere. Your teachers if there is, will also be interested I am sure. The piano part is the most important because the most complete on this subject, as well as in harmony, studied the !!!!! you will be able to adopt the accompaniment of this one, for others. s is the eternal refrain (how one makes with the left hand ?????). Make scales key of F, see in tuto. I wish to satisfy by bringing you the solution. Good work and good luck. Adler trio

Good evening everyone. I want to do something new, I'm starting the bandoneon. Only I don't know what to start with. I have an Ambros method, really hard. I want to do scales but if someone has a little easy tango to encourage me, or a name of method for diatonic bandoneon, it would be nice.

What is the common pot? If it is the list of scores, it will be difficult to put it, it is a complete site, not a document... You have to follow the link to see...

Hello, this site is very well done.
however there may be a small bug....some examples:
- Left hand chord, Cm6, Belgian, the second line indicates an F7 chord while a green circle selects the Fm ......
- Left hand chord F7, Belgian: there is a major F colored in green while the legend indicates F7....
Moreover it would be nice to consider for the Belgian right hand keyboard the variant that has C in the second line... (Charleroi region) (just consider that the notes are all transposed a half tone down... ) (http://www.thecipher.com/cba_b_system_basics.html )

Thank you and good luck.
Claudy.
